Faces Of The Future

Klaus Vedfelt has the ability to make you feel as if you are up close and distant to his subjects simultaneously. Through his technical use of lighting and color he demonstrates how the treatment of an image can completely alter its reading, sometimes portraying either a sense of pride, strength or diffident sensibilities.

This series was shot in South Africa earlier this year where Vedfelt worked with a modelling agency representing less visible faces in media, such as those who identify as Non‑Binary or senior models newly signed to the agency.
