Breastfeeding Goes Public

Female empowerment is nothing new, but the acceptance of natural female bodies continues to rise around the world. According to the World Health Organization, breastfeeding in the first six months of a child’s birth is critical to development, but in many countries, women are shamed or not given sufficient time to nurse. That said, mothers around the world are pushing back on the stigmas and barriers that have prevented them from breastfeeding in public, owning their right to incorporate this necessary act of feeding their child into daily life. Breastfeeding will continue to gradually make a stance in imagery over time, normalizing this natural act.
