South Africa's Born Free Generation

Johannesburg’s energy is being revived and the "Born Free" generation (those born post apartheid who now account for 40% of the population) have taken over the creative space. These images were shot in the Maboneng Precinct, a small but vibrant and colorful area in the city center, full of great textures, food, music and local arts. Where else could you shoot a loft shack perched on top of a high rise building? Photographer, Igor Polzenhagen of the Smith Collection, travels along with a group of friends and captures the undeniably hip Johannesburg vibe.
